Block SMS texts

I have the Moto G and I want to block SMS texts (not calls) from a specific person and I have tried some apps, for example Avast but the feature does not support the latest Android.

you need root or cyanogenmod/ROMs with privacyguard or blacklist to do it with the stock jellybean SMS app.
