PC Building!

Hey peeps, I'm building my buddy a new PC and we are going with a Gold/Black theme. He has a 4770k with a sabertooth. Black corsair Memory, NZXT switch 810 black, corsair AX850, swift tech h220. So i'm just looking for a GPU that is good for his build.

 

He wanted either a 770 or 7970 Ghz. (He is adamant on getting Ghz only cuz he does not want to overclock his GPU). So i'm just looking for a card that is black and yellow or gold, black by it self is good to.. I dont want to have to paint or nothing. and the budget is $425. he also plans on gaming and minor editing in Adobe P and PS. I'm not sure what to chose.

770 lightning is probably a good bet if you can find one in that price range, its black and yellow :)

i think MSI has a yellow and black 7970 lightening that might work for you.

Is the cooler on the this 770 any good?  It looks really cool. Also a 770 is better for him cuz he plans on doing some 3D stuff in the future.

That cooler is brand new from EVGA. The ACX was a big tease about 2 weeks ago before they launched it. From what i have read they are up there with Gigabyte, ASUS and MSI coolers.

 But water cooled will always be better

honestly most dual fan coolers are and apparently people have been really hyped for this one specifically so you really cant go wrong
