Hello guys, this is my first post here

I currently own a amd phenom II x6 1055t 2.80GHz wich I am selling.

My RAM: 8GB 1333MHZ
My HDD is a 128 gb really bad
My motherboard: motherboard asus m4a89gtd
My gpu: ASUS EAH6850 1GB GDDR5 256BIT (SAME AS AMD RADEON HD6850)

The main reason here that I am selling my CPU and MOTHERBOARD is that I think that the performance is not being that fantastic, not on the desktop but mainly on Counter Strike - Global Offensive.

I've been searching alot arround this question and I really really want to know what to do, I've done some research and this game is related to be a heavy processor game, so the CPU is more important than the GPU, I only play "Counter Strike - Global Offensive" and thats pretty much the game I enjoy playing. My GPU is a Asus EAH6850 1GB GDDR5 256Bits (same as AMD Radeaon HD 6850)

My problem is that sometimes the fps drop for less than 150, and I get like 120....and I own a 144hz monitor so I experience some stutering(I think its the word)/lag low performance.

I really want to know first of all your opinions and suggestions, I had also been looking for this cpu:

i5 4690K or just the 4690, again I would like to know your opinions since i will mainly play this game, and I will not certainly overclock my CPU. I would also love to know a good motherboard for the cpu that you guys think will be more worth in my case.

I will upgrade my GPU LATER ON this year maybe on the 2014 falling.. or 2015.

Thanks and please help me solve this

thanks!

my opinion on the unlocked versions are they are amazing! if you are going to overclock, if not why pony up the extra money? i dont over clock, so i wouldnt buy the unlocked version. but thats up to you. and the motherboard depends on what you want, what color, what features

I don't really know what you meant here. You will overclock in the future or you won't ever overclock your CPU?

Motherboard: Asus Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($187.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($79.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $631.94

So, pretty much:
The difference between the 4690 and 4690k is so little, I believe it's worth spending extra 10~15 bucks.
The 212 EVO is just amazing for its price.
The motherboard I put there is expensive but I really like it... if you don't think you'll ever use its features, get any other cheaper Z97 motherboard as long as it's from ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte.
Memory: the cheaper the better. 1600 MHz is enough and Kingston makes good stuff.
The 256GB MX100 SSD is pretty amazing and cheap too, can't go wrong here.

Anything else?

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k | CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 | Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z97 MARK 1 | Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB 1866MHz | GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB Windforce

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO | PSU: CM Silent Pro 720W | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe | Headset: Corsair Vengeance 2100 | Keyboard: Logitech G710+ | Mouse: Razer DeathAdder Chroma

i think you dont got me mate, at the moment I WANT A CPU,

the thing you didnt had understand: I will probably not overclock in the future but the price diference between locked and unlocked is only 20 €

i have the case, and i have the psu and RAM, the GPU i will upgrade in the next year.

i cant buy everything now i mean..

hope you understand this time

uhmm well someone told me something that makes sense, my monitor is a BENQ XL 2411Z with 144hz and a guy told me that my GPU is not that good for it at and thats maybe the reason I am experiencing stutering at the moment, should i upgrade my gpu first and my cpu later on ?

if so should i get a MSI GTX 970 ? does a 650w psu handle that GPU ?

A 500w psu is enough for 970 so yes 650 is enough for even 980.

The power efficiency curve drop after a while but even with that you have more than enough power I would say.

There's something wrong here... you cannot buy a CPU without a new motherboard.

Ok so you won't be overclocking. Get a cheap Z97 motherboard from a known brand and you'll do fine. You can keep your RAM.

I pretty much keep what I said on my first post, except for the SSD and RAM. You want a new CPU so you need a new motherboard and, if possible, an aftermarket cooler.

Good luck.

You picked a $190 mobo for someone who may never oc.....

As I stated, I couldn't understand what the guy said, regarding OCing. And, as I said, if he won't be using the features, I told him to get a cheaper motherboard, meaning...
