Hi all well I will get straight to the point. I have just installed my 1st custom loop using the Phobya Pure Performance 240LT. After a lot of deliberation it seemed best to put my radiator front mounted and the Reservoir horizontal in the roof of my obsidian 450D as this way I could still utilise the 5.25 bays for Fan Control as the Rad in this kit is as wide as a bus. Anyhow I digress , my issue is that after all the stress of getting the air out of the loop and eventually getting it going all seems good except every now and then I hear a small splash inside the rad. Is this normal or is something blocking coolant from smooth transportation around the loop. Ive checked all hose connections for kinks and all looks fine so just need someone to tell me its ok or check on something I may have missed. Many Thanks

yes its pumping in from res then out to cpu which then goes from cpu to rad then res again making the full loop would it have been better to have fed the pump from the rad as ive seen on occasion. Unfortunately no pic at moment but will take one in about an hour as wifes out and stuck with kids hence the delay

Here I know the cable managements not desirable but that can be sorted after ive made sure the loops good. Just looking at this pic and inside the case I know the res is supposed to be higher than the pump but I may think that its way to far and should be closer to the pump .My only problem is as I said earlier the Rad is so huge and fat it wont sit topside with fans fitted , I have the same case as you and motherboard also if I read correctlypost-145995-0-71498100-1412693704_thumb.

If you can hear a splash in the rad, that's trapped air mate, Looking at it it looks to be the same as an Alphacool. I use the Alphacool Monsta a lot and they can be a pain in the arse to bleed, I think it is down the the shape, and size of the end tank. With my front mounted 420 Monsta I made sure I had access to one of the top ports, to add a fill port to, I have a small piece of tube about 3/4 inches long connected all the time, that way I can fill the rad as well as the res, I also keep fluid nearly to the top, and use a stop plug, that way when the air bleeds out the fluid takes it's place.

If that isn't an option turn of the pc, and let it cool down for a while, then place it on it's rear, so you can get to the front port without the fluid leaking everywhere. Slowly, very slowly undo the plug then fill it to the rim of the port, it can help to have a 2nd set of hands to help to tip it slightly to get the air gap to come to the open port, so you can fill it with fluid. Then just do the plug back up and turn on. This is only an option if all else fails, but I do it every time now just out of habit, as it save a lot of messing around with trying to bleed, the air out.
