No mice in BIOS

So my problem is that i want to oc my cpu a bit, and so i went to the bios. What there happened was my cursor did not move up or down, only horizontally. Is there a problem with my mice or my motherboard?

And when i realized that i could use just the arrow keys it was fine until i got to cpu ratio where it couldn't want to change it to me. I was pressing enter when on the correct field and nothing. 

Please help!

What mouse are you using ?

You have to highlight the CPU ratio field and then just type the ratio, you don't need to press enter to "select it" than just press enter when you finish selecting the ratio.

USB or PS/2 mouse. I'd use PS/2 if you have the option, more reliable in BIOSs

You can do everything in BIOS just by kb. For changing CPU multiplier and voltage, use + and - keys.

this.  I keep a PS/2 mouse and keyboard on hand just for this reason. sometimes the fancy usb ones work, sometimes they dont. its pretty hit and miss. as much as i wish we could get rid of PS/2 ports on motherboards, sometimes its really nice to have them around
