I would switch the 780 for the 970, and also get a 1TB hardrive as a 120GB SSD will only allow you to put your OS and a few program's on it.

forgot to mention i have a 2tb hard drive already and then maybe in future will upgrade that. will there be a 970 withing a close price range to the 780?

i am like a little kid inside so was going to get the ronin and light up the inside of it with the nzxt hue (i have a rgb light bulb in my room :D)  also i was looking at the corsair h100i because i wanted the computer to last the length of time and i knew water cooling is cooler than air. finally would 500w definitely be enough because i wouldnt want the computer randomly cutting out. thanks

It should be I think. If you're that worried, you can always get a CX600, it's like 5-10 quid more I think

Not really... AIO isnt all that much better than Air Cooler. If you are not going to Overclock or do low-mid level overclock, an air cooler will do the job just fine. If you do high level overclock, better switch to a H110, H220-X or Kraken X61 since the H100i is quite old now. 212 Evo is a very good but cheap Air cooler, if you want something more fancy, get a Dark Rock Pro 3. Remember, unless you do sub-zero cooling, air or watercooling wont get your CPU any lower than the room temp no matter what.

500W is enough for 1 GTX 970 since GTX 970 dont consume alot of power (this system need about 350W, but it's always a good practice to get 100-150W higher than the requirement). If you plan to do 2 ways SLI in the future however, get a 700W PSU instead.

Yeah, I dont see any problem with it. By why do you get 1x8GB Ram stick? why not 2x4GB? Are you planning to get 16GB later on?

New AMD cards are coming out in february.. I'd wait for that and see if the price/performance is better than Maxwell.

Not really, 2x4GB will work better than 1x8GB because of the Dual Channel Architecture thingy. You need to install the Ram on the right slot though, Whichever slot your put your first stick, the 2nd stick will be put on the slot 1 slot away from that slot. For example [][x][][x] or [x][][x][]

hmm thats a big consider. looking into the 970 though it looks to just be bossing everything and wanting a pc soon if i can because running on a laptop is horrid at times. will have to see what money i have at the time really

oh i knew about putting them into like the same coloured slots, i just never knew about having 2 made it quicker haha. can easily just swap the ram for another £10. also just on the graphics card side, is mantle being implemented into many games because that could give AMD a big shout depending on how dx12 runs

Mantle and DX12... pretty much work the same way, so AMD is kinda dropping on the whole mantle thing now.

ooh right thanks. thisll probably be the stupidest question you will ever get but because of it being a 500w psu, will it be usable with a 4 way power socket adapter or would it blow the fuse? never known much about how much it can handle and currently i have a tv, cinema kit, ps4, sky box linked to it. if needed i can get a long cable from another socket in the room, but easiest is the 4 way socket

Yes it will work... I dont believe that power socket work weaker with lots of stuff plug in to it, unless state so otherwise... But remember you need power slot for monitor as well

oh good was worried incase i would blow the fuse on it because in the past ive had an external hard drive fuse blow before while plugged in to one for no apparent reason. i was just going to use my tv as a monitor because it just sets up nicely for it. i have a small room and 32 inch tv but may upgrade it in future.

Safety fuses(in the Netherlands at least) are 16A so you can calculate yourself. (I = P / U)

i have no idea whats wrong with me but the numbers are just confusing me today haha. in Britain the sockets are 13 amps and 220-240 volts.

in my 4 way adapter i have a 32" tv which is energy efficient A+. a home cinema kit which i dont think draws too much  power. a PS4. a skybox which is very low power. i think while on it would be the ps4 or cinema kit that would be removed.

could you help please with some simple physics and maths :)

2x4gb RAM is better. Changed the case because the Enthoo pro has great airflow and is bigger which leaves room for upgrading. A 500w PSU is enough for this build. It is a bit over budget, but you can always hold off on buying the LED controller.
