Just for the heck of it, I downloaded it and downloaded a new driver using it, but I'm wondering if it installs it the proper way instead of installing over the existing driver.

Yeah, I installed it mainly just to see what it was like. With the exception of turning on depth of field in TW: Shogun 2 (which I just changed back), it didn't change any of my settings for my games since they were already 'optimized' so I've just left it there since the driver updates things is useful anyway.

I think it gives you an option for a clean install, but installing over the old driver is fine by me most of the time. I only do a totally clean install if I'm installing/replacing a Beta driver, or if I'm looking to fix a problem in a game (e.g. the Tomb Raider crashing problem us Nvidia guys had a while ago). Otherwise, the standard installation procedure is fine.

yeah it's good has a nice looking UI. The only thing I don't really care for is the the optimization recommendations were a bit disappointing I was getting a solid 60FPS with my current settings then it told me to do Ultra this do Ultra that and dropped my FPS to 35-45.

Maybe I'll keep it around. Not sure I'll actually use it to optimize settings, but it'll be interesting to see how close my personal settings come to 'optimal' settings.

i have it and its retarded it keeps lowering the $"%£ing resolution of my games (even after custom settings in-game)so i dont use it and tbh it only takes 2-5mins to get everything perfect in game and i manually check 4 updates every month in my drivers

then again this was when it came out and yeah i dont like it

my preferences dont try and persuade me back

also i hate stuff running in background
