If it was easy to reset it wouldn't be very secure would it. I assume you didn't make a password reset disk either. 

 

Just quickly, that leaves you with two options:

-reinstall windows. Anything important data should be able to be backed up and copied on the standard account

-Download a Linux distribution such as Kali/Backtrack and break into to the admin account using a virtual machine running the distro

Their are 2 accounts on the pc An admin user  and a standrand user. I forgot the password to the admin account, how to reset it.

Isn't this why we have password hints?

OPHcrack can return the password to you, or you can use one of many utilities to wipe the password entirely. Warning though, the utilities are quite advanced, and have other functions that could lead you to easily wiping the entire drive, which is why I'm not including links.

Offline NT Password remover is a small bootable tool (on Hirens boot disk, great thing to have) and it will allow you to edit the sam registry (where passwords are stored) and remove it admin pass
