UK desk help!

I,m planning a new build but i need a new desk to put it on, at least 140cm width and 80cm depth. I have searched all over the internet and cant find anything which is dark wood/ black. In the UK, not looking to by from eBay or other second hand/ non retail sites. Anyone got any advice of where i should be looking?

I've been looking for a desk like that too. Here is one from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10251352/), but its only 75cm deep. They do it in a few colours though.

Ikea sell adjustable legs which go pretty high :)

What legs did you chose for it?

I'm looking to get this desk in Grey with 2 of the Trestles they do (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00225293/#/80150095) Plus Ikeas Markus Chair fits perfectly between the trestle legs.

If you need shelf space, get the trestles with the shelves. If you want a 'custom' height get the adjustable ones. Otherwise I'd just get the nicest looking ones for your budget. The U shaped ones look really nice

i got a wall mounted cupboard and bought legs for it, several hours of modding later, a beautiful desk, tv stand, set top box up. sorted :) Ikea really is good.

the desk sits high the way i like it. And is capable of holding 3 monitors on it no problem.

good to hear it can hold the weight, you didn't happen to get a chair from Ikea as well did you?

have you tried to look in local stores , not really to purchase in there , just to get the brand & model of what you find that meets your criteria & look them up in the internet to buy it from the place that's less expensive

I did not buy a chair form there.  I had a chair already, although I do wish it was one of those nice tall back black leather office chairs.
