How can I make Benchmarks?

Go to solution Solved by Afrasiyab,

WOHOO! Man making Benchmarks are easy as penguin! xD

MS WORD FTW.

You can use Fraps to do that. If you set Fraps to record the FPS and min, max and average FPS in a game, it makes a Excel document that you can use to make graphs.

Here is what i could do with Fraps, Excel and a copy of Max Payne 3

attachicon.giferfg.png

The first graph show the FPS during the run of my runthrough, and the second graph shows the minimum, maximum and average FPS of the runthrough.

The graphs don't really look pretty, but I did do them in a hurry.

I'm still a bit confused about what you want specifically, so I'm sorry if I'm completly off.

Just wanted to know that how can I make benchmarks for games? Because I run a Gaming/Hardware Related website and I often do performance test and I want to include my own benchmarks. I tried using MS Excel, but it is just too complex for me. Will anyone tell be a software or anything that I can use to make Benchmarks ? :)

Help will be appreciated. Thanks!

You can use Fraps to record the minimum, maximum and average FPS of a game runthrough. I assume this is what you want.

If you want to make your own benchmarks from scratch, that is way more complicated.

You would have to create 3D models, code the benchmark etc. Essentially it would be like creating a small game.

You should be able to get some tutorials on how to convert an Excel spreadsheet into a graph.

But to get the numbers you can run some games (get the min, max, average from Fraps), Unigene Heaven, along with 3DMark Fire Strike or some other Futuremark program.

Guys this I mean How can I make my own benchmarks. Monitoring the FPS in games is easy. For example, I have a GTX 970 and I get avg,max and min FPS in a specific game. Then How can I make my benchmarks? Like a graph, showing GTX 970 FPS in that game. That's the thing I want to say.
