Hey everyone, I'm building a new gaming pc and need help on buying a psu.

Here's what I'm getting:

Intel Core i7-4790k  processor (will be overclocking eventually)

Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard

G. Skill Trident X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2400MHz

1TB WD Caviar Black Hard Drive

4TB WD Green Hard Drive

256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD

GTX 980 (haven't decided which one to get yet, will be overclocking)

Custom Waterloop (eventually)

4 Mid-Range Fans

Soundcard

I need help determining which psu to get and the correct wattage as well. I calculated the wattage of my pc to be about 450 watts without water cooling. With that in mind, I don't know how many watts my psu should be rated for. I would like it to be 80+ platinum and fully modular (will go semi-modular if I have to). I though of getting the corsair ax760i, but do not know if it's the right wattage for me. I thought psu's are most efficient at 50% load, meaning I'd need about an 800w psu.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

That AX760i will supply you with power very well. One 4790K and one 980 will be no problem for it, even when OC'ed.
