Can this PSU support the GPU?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Sorry a tech newbie here, so we use the EPS12V 8pin for the gpu?

No, that's for extra cpu power, You'd want to get a 6pin to 8pin adapter for the card. Your graphics card might have come with one.

The EPS is used for the CPU power motherboard header, so no :P.

620w should be more than enough for a 7970 build. 8+6pin pci e power cables are a standard in power supplies, so you don't even need to worry about that, it will be included. Seasonic is a very reputable company and makes amazing quality power supplies too.

p.s. listen to the almighty woodenmarker, he knows all :D

Ah thanks for the heads up :P

I checked and there is a 6pin to 8 pin adapter but it has two 6pins to one 8 pin plugging only one 6 will work right?

I heard about it from my friend he told me to consider seasonic before buying Cooler master/Corsair PSUs

That could work. Try it out and see if it does.
