any one know why zone alarm popups are 95% off screen. this is only happening to my win 8.1 laptop

 

it happened from day one. i just reinstalled win 8.1 from oem disk because i replaced the hdd with an ssd and put a bigger m.2 ssd in it and im still getting the pop up issue.

 

the laptop has the intell graphics and also has a gforce 730m in it

One solution. GET RID OF IT. I think Windows Firewall is already good enough. Zone Alarm I consider crapware.

Windows Firewall and Defender (When updated) are more than enough.

Uninstall. Update. Scan.

 

You should be good.

i like the ability to deny apps i dont know. ive stopped bloat ware installs that i forgot to uncheck during an intall and i like the control over the apps launching

Go to https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Download.

And run a scan. You should be fine.

Zonealarm is great. It prevents a lot of things in the background. I don't want to get into specifics but I know that has been the difference between me not getting letters from my ISP and my co workers getting them.
