Ok so I have a HP Office Jet 6700. Is there a reason why it drains all the ink out after just printing out like 10 pages? We are even getting the expensive ink and printing gray scale. it sucks having to go back to the store every other week since someone in my family has to print out an essay for school or a doc for work. All Help is welcome, since we are currently spending close to $100 on ink per month

I have the Pro 8500 and I love it. I think it also uses the same 4 cartridge ink system as yours? It sounds like a problem with your printer. I would try and get a replacement

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W

I'm not surprised seeing that it is an hp. Our hp printer wont allow you to print black and white if one color is depleted. And when you print black and white stuff, it uses some color ink. On top of all that, hp puts a chip in the ink cartridges to make sure that you don't use generic inks. GET YOUR SHIT TOGHETHER HP

If your spending $100 on ink why not just buy somthing like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SAMSUNG-CLP-365W-Wireless-Color-Laser-Network-Printer-Mobile-Printing-406-RFB-/380816410729?pt=AU_PRINTERS&hash=item58aa6d4869

Ink jet is just a money pit toner is cheap and lasts my whole family (4 people) about 2 years of probably about 15 pages per month on our HP color laser jet 2600n.
