Hey guys,

 

If i were to buy a AMD FX 9590, would it be bottlenecked by anything else in my system? (my sig hasnt updated my hd 7970 is now a gtx 980)

A bottleneck exists in every system. Where the bottleneck is depends on the components of the entire build and what exactly you're using the machine for. 

Quite simply the bottleneck is the slowest segment of the system.

If its not you Hard drive then it'll be your ram that is the bottle neck that being said no "bottle neck" will be enough for you to really see it.

yes, but it still relies a lot on whatever application you're throwing at it. Something might require a lot of disk I/O and something else might tax 1 CPU core and neglect other cores.

 

OP is seeking a simple answer to a complex question with hundreds of thousands of variables.
