Windows 8.1 installation problem - please help :(

Hi all.

Trying to install windows 8.1 onto a brand new ssd with usb.

I'm getting an error when selecting my ssd as the drive I want to install windows on.

It reads... "We couldn't create new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the setup log files"

I've checked everything i could think off, boot order, ahci enabled all connects are good, usb drive is in a usb 2.0 slot.

I've used disk part to format and partition the drive and I'm still getting the error. Really don't know what else could be causing the issue.

go into diskpart the select the drive then type in "clean" then go back to the install but instead of you manually making partitions just select the not yet partitioned ssd and just click next

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough it will be believed.

This didn't work either :(

Just gives the same error.

ok do you have a different computer? because if so then just install windows on that but completely shut down the computer after it first tries to restart and place it back in your computer and complete the installation

If the drive is showing up then just delete it and reboot. You should be able to install after you reboot.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?
