Heya again. So I took a boatload of suggestions (all appreciated!) and have been playing around with a potential build. This is what I've come up with so far and I'd like some opinions, particularly on the graphics card. Anything I ought to add or swap out? Budget wise, I can go roughly to 3,500 now. This is also strictly for gaming.

You should never ever wait for things NEVER or you will be waiting your entire life

This is what I put together. I think 3 980 would be better for a longer period of time. Altrough your build is very good, but if you get 295x2 or 2 980 get an i5.

I was debating between two GTX 980s and the 295. Another option was running 3 970s. Which would be better for 4k, as that is what I'm shooting for?

I'd suggest two 980's. the triple 970's might be faster but the scaling on 3-way sli is pretty bad and 3 cards are gonna put out a lot of heat / suck a lot of juice even the super efficient 970... And the 980's will run 4k just fine. But you have to consider that driving a 4K display is basically like driving 4*1080p displays which is a heck of a challenge...

Who puts a fecking 860W PSU in a 3500$ triple-sli build?? :P

For the r9 295x2 not! Yeah for 3-way SLI its stupid.
