I think it's just a straight pass-through so I don't think you can capture it.

It even works when the PC is powered down so It looks pretty much impossible.

 

Side note:

This would be AWESOME if implemented for a laptop, (using the laptop screen as a portable TV for a games console).

oh i thought they wudve utilized it somehow to give z87 and edge...making users not require capture cards...:/ 

i mean damn uk how nice it wudve been if it  doubled as a pvr! lol....

i use dvi for my pc to monitor anyways...

it doesn't work on ps3 because of copy protection, but as far as I know, there's no copy protection on content outputted from a PC, whether it's from a GPU or iGPU. You should be fine.

HDCP isnt copy protection, its just encryption, but it can be cracked in real time however without a device to do that analogue inputs are the only way to get content from a ps3 to a computer.

 

Note do not try and attempt to use a device capable of that, I know its old but it probably still applies - http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2010/09/intel-threatens-consumers/
