Virtual Surround hardware for Linux.

What can I say, I like the spatial effect this fake surround gives.

I'm trying to get back on Linux fulltime and I'd like for my audio to sound the same. Unfortunately I know of zero internal soundcards that can provide these licensed filters through hardware alone, they're all implemented in the driver. Which, of course, has not been ported to Linux.

I was hoping there might be an external DAC that can provide the same effect, one where the filtering is done on the device itself.

Does anyone know of any?

I've not heard of any surround effects for linux.

most drivers are pretty bare bones.

Will work for electronic components and parts

astro mixamp might work but I have no experience with it.

I can't tell from the site if it's hardware or software based.
