Looking at new Microphone

Juganog

Hey :) i have been looking for a new microphone as the one on my headset is complete shit and my headset is getting old anyway so i will probably be replacing that at a later date also..

i was wondering what would be a decent microphone for recordings and voice overs on videos? my budget is around $150-$200 AUD and i am currently looking at the Blue Microphones ranger and specificity the Yetti in that range but any other suggestions would be great :)

Thanks!

The Audio Technica AT2020 USB on Amazon is around the same price of the Blue Yeti from PCCG and it ships to australia. See which one you like more, the AT2020 feels like it has more emphasis on the bass side of things. Personally I'm about to get the AT2020 with pop filter since it has a smaller foot print than the Yeti and IMO looks nicer. The Yeti has a lot more features though.

It comes to around $165 if you buy it from Amazon to Australia. I know because I just checked the price, and I'm an Aussie too.
