Hi I'm going to be building a pc soon and I need to know which one will perform better, i have 2 systems in about the equal price range which is about 650 dollars before mail-in rebates. I'd like to have it for general use, gaming and recording/editing videos, and if I can fit in maybe even livestreaming to twitch. I'm getting windows from g2a and i already have mouse and keyboard and a monitor.

These are the two builds;

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($118.93 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($79.99 @ Micro Center)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card  ($159.99 @ Micro Center)
Case: NZXT Source 210 Window ATX Mid Tower Case  ($29.99 @ Newegg)

Case Fan: Cooler Master SickleFlow 69.7 CFM 120mm  Fan  ($6.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $572.84

Well, path 1 lets you upgrade to a better CPU (ideally locked i7 or one with a mild OC to get the most performance out of what you can obtain, that board will likely not OC very far)

Path 2 has better performance now but is a dead end.

If you would rather rebuild in two years or less, path 2, if you prefer to upgrade (CPU and GPU) path 1.

If you don't upgrade your GPU, upgrading your CPU is (nearly) pointless.

note that in both builds you will be pretty much limited to single GPU config.

The i3 will struggle more with recording and streaming than the 6300, but I would advise you to save a tiny bit more and go for an 8320 and the UD3P board, it will be a much better solution than both.

inb4 pent K, plz stop

Honestly, I'd sweat a couple of extra bucks, as hard as I can, and get a FX 8320; I know you are already pretty tight on the budget, but for what you are planning to do (specially streaming) the FX 8320 won't set you back; and OCing it can squeeze even more performance.

The FX 8320 doesn't look so badass, but there are people running GTX 780 in SLI with it and not seeing any bottleneck at all with this CPU.

Define editing/ Recording...

Because neither will do it well...

Intel build has more upgradability...

AMD would have more immediate performance (Albeit not much) in editing, but if you ever get tired of slowness and want to upgrade you don't have many options.

If I where you I would wait tell you can spend more, and get an Intel with an i5 or something.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

i7 9700K (5.2Ghz @1.2V); MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC; Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200 CAS 16; H100i RGB Platinum; Samsung 970 Evo 1TB; Samsung 850 Evo 500GB; WD Black 3 TB; Phanteks 350x; Corsair RM19750w.

Laptop: Dell XPS 15 4K 9750H GTX 1650 16GB Ram 256GB SSD

Spoiler

It's not too much more only about 20-30 dollars. So I think I could be able to do that.

Like recording my games from console and importing them into Sony Vegas, or Record games from the pc and do the same thing. It's something my friends and I have wanted to get into but haven't because we're limited on pc requirements.

Yep, that looks better.

I'm skeptical of those fans though, they will work fine if you're on a budget, but you can get Hyperboreas off Newegg for 10$ each and they're really good quality.

Well, as for now I'm just looking to get the system up and running for a few months before I can start throwing in some extra stuff (i.e. fans, ssd etc) so that's why i choose those fans and also because I want a little lighting in my case to match my keyboard and mouse :P

Then you should go with an Intel build, for optimal rendering times. It would be slower at start, but after awhile if you get money to upgrade (Say i7 or i5) you have an option to do so, because on AMD you wouldn'thave any upgrade path, whatso ever.

Unless you dont plan on ever upgrading, ever. Than you can can safely go with the 8350 build.
