so I recently added another gtx 660 ti pe from msi to my system and I am having problems with minecraft (no I don't only play minecraft -_-)

anyway, I am getting an error with OpenGL as the error message is as follows:

"The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.
The application must close."

the error message linked me here:

Its not because my pc is bad as my new gaming rig has no problem with minecraft untill now (also nothing hapens before this error)

if anyone can help me i would much apreciate it.

my cards are the same thing, both with 2Gb of ddr5 memory - (someone ingame said it might be the memory)

i only got this error after I started using sli

I have 64x windows 7 (with 64x java)

16Gb ram

intel I7 3770

2x msi gtx 660 ti pe

2 tb HDD (segate barracuda)

750 watt thermaltake tr2 psu

h100i water cooler

6 case fans (including 2 on the h100i)

is it possible my system is now underpowered with the addition of a gpu?

maybe the new card is faulty?

Does it happen with both cards? Like disabling SLI and swapping the cards? Or perhaps swapping the cards and re-enabling SLI(if it needs to be done)?

Trying swapping them. It might be your second card that's causing the issue. But don't enable SLI. If the problem persists, it's hardware. If it happens in SLI only, it's software.

Have you updated to lastest nVidia drivers?

hmm I tried updating with  msi's latest driver for this card but the update turned the screen black for atleast 4 hours so I shut it down and when I restarted the driver was obviously messed up so windows update automatically found a driver for them and everything else is working fine

(this problem was happening before and is still happening after this event)

also the game works fine for a  while before it crashes

Get it directly from NVIDIA.
