My friend wants  a computer that is very cheap. I already have the parts needed (ex. CPU, Mobo, PSU, RAM) but I don't have the GPU yet. He told me he will use the computer for light editing and everyday use. Any suggestions?

BUDGET: About $150-$200 :)

Has a Ph.D in Nothing and does not speak Chinese, Italian or French. (aber ich kann Deutsch sprechen)

No gaming? Then the onboard will do just fine unless he wants CUDA acceleration in which case the GTX 750 Ti (for more power) is not bad or the GT 720 can fit that bill

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

You say "Best Budget GPU" yet you don't give us what the budget is. For $200 get the R9 270. For $150 get the GTX 750Ti / R7 260X. For $100, I would get the R7 250. Anything lower than that is iffy.

b0 - R7 250 (is good, but also at the same price of the 260)

b1 - R7 260X / R7 260 (trueaudio)

b2 - R7 265 / 7850 (pure monster power, they are almost R9)

b3 - R9 270 (the "perfect" card, buy it)

k4 - R9 285 (mantle, trueaudio, freesync, 4K decoder, 4x tessellation, DX12, and bla bla bla) ^_^

and in case of emergency, this are old "second hand" cards that can be "really" cheap  ;)

5450 (80sp) - 6450 (160sp) - 7350 (80sp) - 7450 (160sp)

but this is low-end, and i always recommend go for the R7 250 instead (is mid-range) B)
