i just got a message on startup telling me "msi afterburner"

"this version expires on the 3 of Oktober"

im like what?,i check for updates but there are no updates for the program.

 

 

im using the 4.0.0 beta 9 ... very weird

I got that too, I went to the website and got the latest, MSG no more.

There is a stable release of 4.0.0 no need to use beta.

1. it looked extremely sketchy

2. i checked for updates,so why doesnt the official version show up?

3.how can a version "expire"?

For some ungodly reason MSI has been doing this with the beta version of Afterburner for some time.

 

It was pretty awful a while ago as the gap between the "stable" version and the latest beta was almost 2 years.

Tthere were numorious features that whole series of graphics cards promoted but you could only take advantage of with the stable version and you were forced to use the beta version.
