What Phone?

I am currently on the verizon network and am getting an upgrade tomorrow what is the best android smartphone out there as we speak?

Nexus 5? HTC One M8? Note 3? Galaxy S5? Research and find one that's suits your needs.

I'd recommend a Nexus or the HTC One M8. But it really depends on your budget, use, etc.

I really don't have a budget. I am also a really heavy android user and really heavy skins on top of android is pretty crappy.

Samsungs phones have there advantage in having alot of custom roms, skins etc. if you like that.

but its Samsung and I'll leave it at there.

 

"solid" choice is the HTC M8. 

 

If you like to 1hand use a phone I suggest the Z3 Compact from Sony. ( i want this one so bad)

If you want recommendations here, i suggest you put in some guidelines for people here so they can actually recommend you things. There is no "best smartphone", but a buttload of good phones, that suit different needs.
