I was looking at getting a case and power supply replacement for myself, right now my psu is overkill. I want to stay on the cheap, I am currently very torn between the CX750 from corsair and the cooler master v750. The cooler master is $40 more for gold efficiency and modularity but more importantly I need to know if a bronze 750 would be perfectly capable of driving two 780ti's if I find one on a huge discount somewhere soon. I don't suppose driving 2 later generation cards would be an issue due to maxwell being so amazing at power efficiency.

If it's running 780 Ti's I'd get something of slightly higher quality such as the one you already suggested: The V750 from Cooler master.

I'd probably go for the Cooler master one.

Over the Corsair CX750, I would recommend the EVGA Supernova B2 750w. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681743802

It's better build and offer a longer warranty.

For $10 more than the V750, you could get the Supernova G2 750w. It's a higher-end, fully modular unit with a longer 10 year warranty upon registration

At the price of the CS I could get the V series, but what would be the difference between the corsair CS the superNOVA g2 and the coolermaster V? I don't know much about psu's

Here's the price of the units in question:

Supernova G2 750 - $109.99 Free shipping ($89.99 after MIR) : http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=94405&promoid=1424

V750S - $109.99+$5.99 Shipping ($105.98 after MIR): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171094

Supernova B2 750w - $74.99 Free shipping ($49.99 after MIR) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438028

CS750M - $109.99 Free shipping ($89.99 after MIR) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139061

Because the Supernova B2 offer better internal components and a longer warranty, I can't recommend the CS750M for being an inferior unit other than being more efficient.

The CM V750S is a solid performer (electrically) and is build better than the CS; however, it is more expensive than a higher-end PSU like the Supernova G2. The G2 offer better build quality / design, electrical performance, full modularity, semi-passive mode (allowing the fan not spin up at lower loads thus making it quieter), a longer warranty, etc.

If you are looking for a good inexpensive PSU that can power your system, the B2 750w is definitely a solid choice at an excellent value (don't be confused with this unit with the B1 version. They are completely different units). If you want a better build PSU that offer you better functionally, build quality, and low noise levels, go for the G2.

Here's two professional reviews on the B2 and G2:

Well, I was hoping to get something in the price range of the b2. It's very enticing but I see in the review is a superflower design, I currently have a superflower 1000w 80+bronze. I got it for about the same price as the b2. Should I just stick with my current supply? I couldn't find any reviews for it after I already had purchased it. I am wondering if I get the b2 would I basically be buying the same unit that is of lower wattage?

How does this supply fair? I was having another thought maybe just getting a cheap psu that uses around 500W and just have my 1000W on backup if I need it. Any good quality 500W that are fairly cheap?

The Amazon 1000w is an older design. The B2 is based a cost down version of the Golden Green platform and is better than what you currently have.

Unless my sleepy stupor is messing with my memory a bit,, while the v.reg of the Amazon was good for it's time (5+ year ago), it did offer rather poor DC quality output, in which it barely stayed within ATX specification at full load. Tt's basically the same platform as the Kingwin Mach 1 1000w. You would likely be fine with your setup, as the SLI configuration won't be drawing near the units limit (around 550wDC during typical gaming loads).

It's an entry level PSU. It's acceptable if you don't have a lot of money to spend. But considering how you already got a PSU, it wouldn't waste my money to get it. I stick with what I got or go for the B2 as you have plans on SLI. If you want a good ~500w anyways, you could have a look at the XFX TS Bronze 550w for an entry level PSU or a higher quality unit like the Rosewill Capstone 450/550w.

I said screw it, got the G2. The 10 year warranty and the review bought me over. 15mv ripple? Yes please.
