Backup Software

Go to solution Solved by Hatsune Miku 「 」,

Have you tried Samsung Migration software? I've used it before and it works well enough, but I cannot remember if it can only go HDD/SSD -> Samsung SSD ONLY or whether it can clone your Samsung SSD onto something else.

Otherwise, as others have mentioned, Acronis is absolutely kickass.

You said you tried EaseUS Backup. Did you try the Bootable version or just the EaseUS ToDo installable software? If not, please try creating a bootable USB or DVD and booting your PC to that. We use EaseUS Backup bootable USB sticks at work all the time with all manner of PC's with no issues. With yours being a modern PC (As per your sig specs), then you should have even less issues then myself.

Also out of curiosity, why are you doing RAID SSD? Can you talk a bit about your reasoning, and which RAID setup you'll be doing?

Tried it. Didn't work. Ended up reinstalling windows on the RAID partition.

anyone know of good hard drive cloning software? I need to clone my SSDs to a partition on my hard drives so I can raid my SSDs. EaseUS Backup software doesn't load for some reason.

I'd go with Acronis as @QAZ suggested. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/

I've tried it as well. It's a pretty good software with a lot of features and advantages.

It also gives you the option to clone your SSDs, so you will definitely find it useful.

Hope this helped.

I hope I can help with any storage issues that you may have!  ;)

Well I'm glad you got Windows reinstalled at least. Can you tell me exactly what was happening when trying to boot from EaseUS Backup bootable USB? Assuming your specs in sig are accurate, then your hardware is 100% capable of doing so. Either something is wrong with your USB stick, or you have potential unresolved hardware issues. There is no reason why it should fail.
