Is this a good build?

Go to solution Solved by TR0J4N,

your mother board supports1600Mhz so it should be fine worse comes to worst it doesn't so it runs at 1333 until you upgrade the cpu to an i5 or something cause dual cores are starting to age now... most new games are coming out to run on 4+ threads

Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258

RAM: G.Skill Sniper 8GB DDR3- 1333

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Fan Controller: NZXT Sentry 2

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 970 4GB Strix

Parts I Have Already Purchased:

Looks good to me.  If this is for gaming, you've put your money in the right places (graphics card).

Isopropyl alcohol is all you need for cleaning CPU's and motherboard components.  No, you don't need [insert cleaning solution here].  -Source: PhD Student, Chemistry

Why overclockers should understand Load-Line Calibration.

1. You should get faster RAM, maybe 1866 or 2133mhz

2. You NEED a better cpu, the g3258 WILL bottleneck the system massively. you could get an i5 4690k, or an i7 4770k or 4790k

3. Id say maybe a z87 motherboard?

4. You should get a better CPU cooler. For the ones I suggested, maybe a Shadow rock 2 or an h80i
