PSU For GTX970

I'm planning to buy the gtx970 when it arrives here in India. I currently have a 4790k as a processor and asrock extreme 3 motherboard. For PSU I have VS550. It has 42A in 12V as required by graphics card. But need suggestions as i won't like damaging my system in any way. Thanks in advance

U sure coz some of my friends say that vs can't deliver proper power as it's cheap

A 500W power supply could run that system no sweat. Yours will be fine.

Keep your PSU, it's not great but it will be fine with just a 970.
