I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, if it's not please move it to the proper section.

I've been looking for a desk with a monitor elevated stand built onto the desk & can't seem to find anything worth whiled. The ones I do find are poorly built or look flimsy.

What I am looking for is a very clean/nice setup

*Good Quality Desk

*Built in Monitor Stand that can fit 3 monitors with an underpass for wires/storage.

*Compartments/Drawers on the right & left side.

*No keyboard tray

*Prefer wood construction

I am not sure what to call the last thing I would want, but it's a second piece to place the printer on top with books, supplies etc on it. This would be next to the desk, but not attached to it.

Build one :)  You'll appreciate it more

How would you go about doing that?

Can't think of many places to do that here in NYC.

You don't have like a hardware store like Home Depot / Lowes ?  Buy some painted plywood (I got white), cut it up, and make a desk

We have the stores, I meant where I could actually have the tools to construct it as I have virtually no skill in that area.

Do they have pre-built ones with said description or do I pick out parts then put them together?

Oh, I don't know.  There might be places where you can rent tools, but I don't know of places that let you build in their workshop.

Look online to see if there's an Ikea around your area. It's basically a HUGE store full of display furniture n accessories. You walk around, see what you like (try em out), and buy the disassembled furniture in a box. They come with the tools you'll need to assemble them at your home (basic screws n stuff) and the setup is usually fairly simple.

I'd just pick out the parts and build it yourself. I did. It's cheap.

They have drawers like you'd want, various tops, you can get legs...

The only thing you might have issue with, of course, is the build in monitor stand. Honestly I haven't seen any desks that meet that requirement.

This is true. Though I think they might have some real wood ones.

However, if you're looking for real wood...you're going to be spending a very, very large sum of money to get something that specialized.

I spent maybe $100 on a 12 foot desk (It goes from one side of my room to the other) and I added a thin board to the back that hides all my cables

I built mine, it's very easy to do, the trick is going simple.

Most places I know will sell you wood cut to the size, just plan it before and then go buy the wood. Tools? You can use all sort of tools, but it depends on what are you trying to achieve, if you want perfect finish on the thing, it will require a lot more skill and work. For a basic desk you pretty much just need a drill (if the wood is previously cut), then a little bit of patience paired with glue, screws, etc.

In my case I went with the easiest design, just a standard desk top made of wood on top of a support with metal legs. I bought the legs from a blacksmith and painted them at home; the top is very securely screwed to the legs. I got the height and size right, the paint made it a decent piece of furniture.

You can find models, guides and tutorials everywhere, just copy the measurements made by someone that actually knows about this stuff. There are plenty of basic models of desks with drawers, you can make the monitor stand as an accessory.

It can be a lot of fun and a smart way of saving a ton of money (good furniture sells at very high prices).

Oh, if you build it yourself out of plywood, absolutely. But a quality desk (not knocking your workmanship, but let's be real, plywood is not the fanciest material ;)) would cost multitudes more.

Especially if you don't do the work yourself.

I built shelving in my dads garage and my walk in closet when I lived with them. Even the premade plastic racking would have cost well over $1,500, I did it for around $250.

Haha, depends on the thickness! I'd prefer a thicker particle board desk. Plus...the cost. And weight. I paid $39 or something for mine.

Ikea does do real wood as well. Not just particle board. Also stainless steel!

Multiple, I can try taking a picture of it. It can hold 3 monitors but I currently have 2 & 1 printer on it.
