Advice and Recommendations

Hi guys

I will be building my first PC for home use. I would like to know your thoughts and any recommendations you may have on my components.

 

The components I will be using are

 

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5 4460 3.2 GHz 4th Gen CPU

Corsair Vengeance Black 8GB DDR 3 1600 MHz Dual Channel

Crucial MX100 128 GB 2.5" SATA 6GB/s SSD for OS only

I will be using a Graphite Series 230T Windowed Compact Midi Tower Case

 

I have a 3TB HDD for everything else and also a DVD RW drive

 

The only thing worrying me is the motherboard... any thoughts or recommendations on this motherboard or another that I could use instead.

 

Also the case comes with 3 preinstalled fans, is this enough for my setup or would you recommend more?

 

Any advice would be appreciated

I wouldn't go with a z97 board of you don't have an overclockable CPU. You could save some cash
