I brought an Bitfenix prodigy mini itx one and it looks rather big. So is there any way to mod it so that it can fit an atx board? I brought an seasonic 750w 80 gold so having one card would be rather overkill imo. Like im planning to have 970's in sli for this.

Questions

1) Does connecting the MB with like half the screws risk of an electric shock or short circuit? Permanent use.

2) If i customize a backboard which i can screw all the MB screws into the backplate and put it in the Prodigy, would it work? like set @ the base.

Btw if option 1 works, would it impact performance? or no.

thanks.

Also doesnt the Z97M physically fit inside the mini itx case?

9.84" x 15.91" x 14.13"   for case

9.6" x 8.8" Width x Length for the MATX.

If anything can i drill holes directly into the bottom of the case and put the motherboard @ the bottom? Would that work in the event that you have to have all the screws of the motherboard screwed in?

Thanks for the help.

I don't think you could mod it, since you would have to manufacture a whole new motherboard tray. You'll never make an mATX board fit the original horizontal tray.

It would probably be easier to get the mATX version of the Prodigy.

You can fit an ATX board in there with a lot of modding. Why not just sell or return it, and buy an mATX Prodigy though? Or grab an Aerocool DS Cube.

Yeah but the shipping for mines got mixed up. and its over the time for returns, so sadly i cant return it.

But lets say i have an m-atx motherboard tray or something similar that i can trim down, would that work if im able to fit it into the prodigy?

And what if i used the Bitfenix bottom of the tray as themotherboard tray? I think dimension wise it would be able to fit at the bottom of the case.

^If this is possible, is it an do-able situation?

Thanks for the help guys.
