Annoying drop in FPS

Hey guys, got a problem and i hope someone could guide me to that light at the end of the tunel aka the fixe

 

So, ive started playing this new mmo that launched like a week go and im getting terrible drops in fps even tho i got better specs then the recommended specs.

 

My specs are

 

i5 3,3 gzh cpu

asrock h81m-dgs

gainward geforce gtx 650 Ti 1GB

6 GB RAM

500 W PSU

300 something Harddrive ( cant remember the make and model since its from my old pc)

WD external drive 500GB ( thats just for storing stuff like files i dont use alot and stuff)

 

 

Recommended specs for the game are

 

intel i5

nvidia GTS250 1GB

4Gb ram

40 GB storage

 

i dont run the game on ultra settiings tho, custom settings a few on high rest on medium and i get 60 fps but some times like getting in a place with alot of people or even on a map with few people that fps drops to 1-6 and its just so annoying that the gameplay just isnt fun for me anymore.

 

So after all this text, what im asking is, should i get a SSD? Or does my build need upgrades ( take in mind i dont really have a budget yet just wanna know the path i need to take)

you would be dropping fps due to your GPU everything else should be fine for the moment if u don't have the money to upgrade.... also  don't run the game at ultra if your GPU can't handle it

im running the game with customs settings, 2 or 3 at high rest at medium.

Massive multiplayer Online role playing games are notorious for having massive frame drops when multiple avatars are on screen its generally caused by a CPU bottleneck.

 

you can confirm this by running a gpu monitoring tool and watch its usage if the usage is not at 100/99% then your cpu is bottle necking the card and the only solutions are to overclock the chip, get a stronger one or lower settings such as draw distance or Level of detail settings.

MSI afterburner, EVGA precision X (preferred), Gpu-z will all work

Forgot to also mention that my pc laggs like after alt tab-ing the game to check something on my browser it like freezes or takes along time to minimize or maximize the browers window
