BitFenix LED Red

I've looked at many videos surrounding the bit fenix connect red 7cm led strip each one seems to have more of an orange glow than a red, i was wondering if anyone has these or has seen these in person and can give me their opinion.

 

I was looking to have white led's at the top of my case and red towards the bottom as i have many more red aspects in the top than in the bottom that the white would more clearly highlight.

 

If people think these led's do have more of an orange glow any recomendations for a darker red ones?

white LEDs top and Red bottom? 

Well white really never looks like white. It just brightens up the components in the top part of the case. I have never seen someone mix it with a color, but I don't think it would look particularly good. I have white in my current build:

How is your red done there as it looks really nice and from the top are you just using the light from the cooler ?

you mean in my last build? I had it taped to the top part of the side panel. The fan is a Bitfenix Spectre LED. the red LED front fan doesn't affect the inside of the case. 

The Alchemys are really bright at 12V. This was a single 36cm strip.

I assume you mean my photoshopped version. The top one is a white Alchemy strip, roughly 12" like the bottom one.

I've been thinking about adding a blue LED to my build but im not sure how it would look...I currently have a white LED strip in it, but I feel like something's missing. 

 

Note: I re arranged the LED strip, now it just runs down the side of the drive cages since it refused to stick to the top. The picture also makes it look quite a bit bluer than it actually is.

this will take longer than expected. after about 1.5 hours I still don't have it at the original brightness. This may be because the case is black inside now, and the other one was unpainted. I did some cable modding to get it on a molex but for some reason that doesn't work.

personally I don't like it unless the majority of your components are already the color that you want the LED in.

Well, my whole rig is black and blue: the picture makes it look quite a bit more blue than it actually is. I might try a blue underglow from behind the board.

This is truly perfect for me think i'm gonna commit and get the white and red led's largely to mask the green pcb at the bottom and powersupply colours and the white to be able to highlight components.
