I'm thinking of buying a new laptop now, so after looking around for the price and stuff it come down to the Lenovo's Y410P, i7 4700MQ, 8GB RAM, GT 750 or a Y500 with i7 4630QM, 8GM Ram and GT 750 in 2 ways SLI, so from spec alone I think the Y500 is better right? but will there be any heat issue with it since it's a SLI system? also I have never use Lenovo's stuff before so are they good? is there any problem overall with them?

The link to the Y500 herehttp://www.krichhouse.com/store/product/view/LENOVO_IdeaPad_Y500_Intel_Quad_Core_i7_3630QM_2.40GHz._New-26677216-th.html

Also is there any better option at around 1000USD? I see this list of 5 http://pcgamerhome.com/gaming-laptops-under-1000/ , I dont think the Y50 available here in Thailand but if I can find the other 3 should I go for them? and which one?

Lenovo is IBM

and they are good long lasting laptops only issues I have seen with them is the on-board fans have trouble keeping up but a good laptop cooler can make up for that. for everyday use they are my top choice cor name brand laptops.

IBM?

Lenovo is IBM

I think a better way of saying that is

Lenovo acquired IBM's personal computer business in 2005, including the ThinkPad laptop and tablet lines.

I'm happy with my Lenovo X230. The build quailty is great, the keybnoard is great. all the little features are great. And the options to customize certain features is something I like.

Nothing comes close the my Lenovo in battery life. ~24hours.

CORSAIR RIPPER: AMD 3970X - 3080TI & 2080TI - 64GB Ram - 2.5TB NVME SSD's - 35" G-Sync 120hz 1440P
MFB (Mining/Folding/Boinc): AMD 1600 - 3080 & 1080Ti - 16GB Ram - 240GB SSD
Dell OPTIPLEX:  Intel i5 6500 - 8GB Ram - 256GB SSD
