reliability?

Go to solution Solved by Clyne,

might as well go with the gigabyte one instead of the sapphire, FYI: to notify a user, do this @(member's name would be here)

and same @Excon, Sapphire is a good company, also you don't always rely on reviews, some people might only give them a review because it was bad item.

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Dual-X Video Card

was recommended by @Bubblewhale who has really helped me out but with more research most say that the card died in a timespan of 4 days to 5 weeks according to newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202061 will it die on me everyone says amd cheaped out on this to meet production, should i find something else. any recommendations please be under $250.

Sapphire makes pretty good graphics cards. That guy was probably just really unlucky or he was doing something he shouldn't have been doing to his card.

A couple really good graphics cards manufacturers are ASUS and EVGA. You don't get much better than those two companies. I'm not saying Sapphire's bad, it's just that ASUS and EVGA make even better cards.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

I would avoid this card personally. I own one and the fans shit out on me for no reason (they wobble hit against the shroud).  You can get a higher quality card for a similar price. I'm not saying Sapphire is bad i'm just saying this particular card is cheap and they do a good job of making it feel that way.
