I am trying to flash cyanogenmod to my htc one m7 with twrp. The file is currently on my phone located in the /sdcard/ and I get the error:

Installing '/sdcard/cm11.zip' ...Checking for MD5 file ...Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file foundE: Error executing updater binary in zip 'sdcard/cm11.zip'Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm11.zip'Updating partition details ...

If you need any more information just ask.

Hmm, I haven't done this in awhile, but I remember my last flashing error, updating the recovery to the newest version helped resolved the error. It might be the same thing.

I'm running the latest version of TWRP 2.8.0.1

TWRP is for some reason always the recovery brought up for HTC devices, but I have had issues where TWRP just doesn't want to flash things. Switched to CWM and everything worked out on multiple HTC's, so give it a try. Philz just looks more aesthetically pleasing and has a neat "wipe to install new ROM" feature which also wipes /system partition along with data and cache, which I like and advocate for doing when switching ROM platforms (Sense to AOSP or vice versa).

I tried using CWM, but I got another error.

Hmm... is it the official CM11 you're trying to install?

No, but what I will try is downloading the other CWM.

I installed the M9 snapshot on my M7 with Philz before I sold it, so if changing to other CWM doesn't fix it then I'd just try a different CM release.  Even if the nightly works but you don't want to use it, at least we'll know that the recovery isn't the issue but is an issue with the ROM itself.

Ok using recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-m7 worked when using recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.3-m7ul didn't.

Ya I am happy. I have done this before, but a few months ago my phone wasn't able to keep installing updates, so this was easier than checking every little setting :D

Yeah, apparently the CWM updater script changed. Philz has a lot more updater script compatibility though, so I use it if it's available for my device, cause it just seems to work the best.
