Hi, I went with build that have 2 GPUs and one G-Sync monitor but feel free to pick 3x non G-Sync monitors which will result in cca the same price like this build.

You can save money on getting 240GB SSD instead of 512GB or going only with one GPU or getting only 8GB of RAM, picking cheaper case and CPU cooler.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($359.79 @ DirectCanada)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($113.98 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($124.95 @ Vuugo)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($174.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($224.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($84.98 @ DirectCanada)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($620.35 @ TigerDirect Canada)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($620.35 @ TigerDirect Canada)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Monitor: Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 144Hz 27.0" Monitor  ($889.74 @ shopRBC)
Total: $3414.09

Hmm... you cant run games on 2 monitors anyway, Nvidia Surround and AMD's Eyefinity both require 3 monitors to display games, if you have 2 it will just display the game on 1 monitor(the only exception I know about is Grid Autosport, which have a "2 monitors" option in the setting that display the map and standing in 1 monitor and the other display the normal game) (make sense since you can have your crosshair in FPS for example hanging around in nowhere) So from my personal experience and one of Linus's video about monitor setup, not alot of games can truly use 3 monitor seamlessly, and those that can is mostly racing games. FPS game like BF4, Crysis etc while you see the 3 monitors setup for them lots of time, they dont prove to be much useful, even outright spearing your attention around instead of focusing on the enemy ahead, so I recommend getting 1 2k/4k monitor or so for the main display, and another 1080p monitor to display something else. It's the perfect setup for works, and for games you can keep something like tutorial/walkthrough/facebook on one while playing on the other.

As for the main rig and monitor, this is what I'd choose for you:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($248.98 @ DirectCanada)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($129.99 @ Memory Express)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($139.99 @ Memory Express)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($174.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($139.79 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($57.99 @ Canada Computers)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($624.99 @ Memory Express)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($624.99 @ Memory Express)
Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower Case  ($110.69 @ DirectCanada)
Monitor: Asus VX279Q 60Hz 27.0" Monitor  ($287.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Monitor: Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 144Hz 27.0" Monitor  ($889.74 @ shopRBC)
Total: $3560.10

Let me explain my choice a bit:

CPU: I dont go with the i7 since it seem like you are only gaming and doing normal work on this computer, so you dont need an i7 (it's needed for heavy video rendering/3D model work, if you do those stuff then please change it)

Monitor: The ASUS ROG Swift is a BEASTY Monitor, 1440p 144Hz 27 inch monitor with G-sync, this would do perfectly as your main monitor. For the secondary I choose a 1080p 27 inch monitor also from ASUS, also a very good monitor with IPS display

I dont choose 4k monitor not because this rig cant run it or you dont have enough money, I dont choose it because as long as scaling problem for Windows still existed getting a 4k display is still going to be a pain... so I dont like it :P but if you do please change it.

Also for the GPU, I dont really recommend  getting reference cooler even though it's quite good, since after market cooler is still better. But right now the only one available for 980 is Windforce, it's good but cost 80$ more per card and I dont like the look of it :P if they have MSI Twinfrozr I'd choose it right away xD

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

The EVGA Supernova G2 750W is only $5 more and it is far better than the NEX.

Most of the GTX980's are reference coolers, so they all look the same anyway. If you prefer Asus warranty then stick with the above gpu's.

You can change the storage depending on your requirements. Just add your choice of monitor/s.

Also the case is personal preference so choose something else if you don't like the 540.
