Thoughts on the Asus Z97-A?

Yatin

can't go wrong with any of the two. Take a look at the features, then decide which ones suit your needs the best. Color can also be an argument, I've heard people complaining about the black-gold ASUS motherboards.

The Z97-A looks like a very decent Z97 board that's not too expensive. As for ASRock, I have no experience with them, but I've always wondered why they're products always have a lower price, it makes me question their quality, either that or they don't care for profit margins :P

Intel Core i7-5820K (4.4 GHz) | Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB  | 2x 360mm Custom Loop (Noctua iPPC) | ASRock X99 Extreme6 | Samsung 840 EVO 250GB | Fractal Design Define S | Corsair HX750 | Windows 10 | Corsair M65 RGB PRO | Corsair K70 RGB LUX (CherryMX Brown) | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro & Creative Sound Blaster Z | Nexus 6P (32GB Aluminium) | Check out my setup: Project Kalte Here!

As an ASRock owner, I can only say that they are, in my experience, just as high quality as any other manufacturer. Dunno how they manage the low prices.

I'm of the opinion, it's because their marketing isn't as big time as asus, so it costs them less to actually get you the board :)

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

Oh sorry :P

Forgot to mention this

I am from India (Newegg ships to India)

Need a MoBo under 150$

The board should have great audio, should have a lot of features for the price like a good BIOS for newbies.

I am going to buy a 4690K and will not be doing much OC (upto 4.00 GHz maybe and I will be using the 212 EVO)

You can mention other motherboards from different companies also (if they as good as these two)
