I hope it isn't the same for Belgium, I'm planning on getting a subscription later this week

Expressed suprise that germany is behind scandinavia in this regards. We have had netflix for quite a while and our selection is actually pretty damn good....I still cheat and use VPN and get the US version but there are a lot of content on the danish ones including stuff that aren't on the US one.

 

But don't worry. Its clear that netflix spends time investigating the country and what could potentially be popular. When I knew up, "The Nanny" used to be broadcasts for several years. ITs not on the US netflix but all six seasons are on the danish one even though it hasn't been on tv for a long time, so they really do look into what is popular in that country.
