First custom watercooled loop

Doing a simple CPU loop for my themed build. Really was planning just a Kraken X61, but I want this more personable. Since this is my first time doing a WC loop. Have one question.

I am using a NZXT S340 case, Plan a nice 30mm alphacool radiator in front but since it is a compact case, Was planning mounting a pump/res combo to the radiator.

Question being, will having it mounted there, will it effect the airflow/heat in case much?

Not sure about clearance but you shouldn't have too much trouble mounting the pump/res to the rad. In terms of airflow restriction it shouldn't really be too impacting especially if it is a tube res as the air will just be split and go round. You'll only really impact the airflow if the air is blocked instead of rerouted.

It will affect the air flow because the fans on the the rad are static pressure and not air flow optimized. As for heat you will see more heat coming in the case unless you mount them as exhaust, but again air flow will be impacted.
