8.1 Network Issues

I've been having a bit of a problem with my network connection on my pc. The network sidebar doesn't list any connections, and it doesn't have the sliders for airplane mode nor for turning WiFi on or off. Oh, and my network folder is also empty. And I've tried turning on the smart card service, but still nothing. Any and all help would be awesome. And uh, I can't open up my laptop to check on the card itself because it's still under warranty, and I'd rather not mess something up that would void that for me.

Oh and, my card is an Atheros "Killer Wireless-N 1202".
