Mid range device

I am looking for new phone because getting tired of my sony erisccon ray, for now i am looking at sony xperia sp, but i don't know if that is best choice i can get it for 180 euro over all i dont want spend more then 250 euro i live in Latvia and can find prices in www.salidzini.lv because there is no point to buy from other country maybe Germany because more often here is cheaper.

I don't want bigger screen then 5" better is lover but not less then 4" (mid-low size) want good screen and pretty decent performance so phone can last around 3 years with no problems

checked motorola moto G but i really don't like design and spec sp have better.

Im actually using an xperia sp right now and i can tell you its a really great phone. only android 4.3 though with no update to kitkat. But still great phone for gaming and media with good looks and feel.

Yes, the Nexus phones would be the best choice, they come unlocked and they'll get the updates for Android directly from Google. If you're not into vanilla ROMs you can always go to XDA-Developers to fix that.
