770 has more bass because it's closed.

 

For EDM music DT770 is a great choice, the 770 880 and 990 are all basically the same driver, the differences in the sound mainly come from the enclosures.

So this is the 3rd post, I think, that I wrote about the headphones I want to get.

So in the last thread people told me to get the DT 770 from Beyerdynamic. I nearly bought them when I saw the DT 990. After doing some research I found out that they should have crazy bass. Is that true and if yes which of these two should I get if I want to listen to electronical, bass heavy music?

Also I should mention that the DT 990 cost 8€ less.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

That can't be why they have more bass, I own V-MODAs and Custom One Pros and on both, the bass drops off significantly when I cover the bass ports.

DT770 has ports too.
