<700 Gaming Build for Gaming, college, Shield streaming and Steam Big Picture. Suggestions?

JMTHEFOX

Hi, I have planned a build for less than $700 (as I live in the United States) for major use of gaming, college work, and enjoying Steam Big Picture with my OG Xbox 360 Black controller. I am also building it to test the Streaming capabilities for my Nvidia Shield Portable.

The reason I want to upgrade is because my current one now plays most games in 30 fps or less. I also want to experience building my first PC on my own.

I am currently using a Samsung TV that has an VGA port because the Acer monitor is dead.

Although I already have the old X360 controller and a Rock Candy controller, I would also like to own a Logitech F710, Xbox One controller and the current Xbox 360 controller.

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($110.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M-ITX/AC Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($82.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($85.83 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card  ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITX Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer  ($16.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $666.71
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Ditch that SSD. You can buy it later and buying a stronger GPU (R9 280 or maybe even stretching to GTX 970) now is something you will NOT regret.

Slightly overbudget but stronger by a MASSIVE amount.. I highly suggest upping the budget for this, maybe even a bit more to get an I5.
