moving to bare desktop

I want to make a new wallpaper for my background and am thinking about removing all of my icons from the desktop.

 

 

(as you can see it's pretty cluttered with icons and this is after I removed all my steam game icons)

 

I was thinking about putting the shortcuts in my start menu but I don't know if you can put categories in it (I never use the start menu so I'm inexperienced with it). If you guys have any suggestions or hints of what might look cool or interesting for me I would love it.

 

If you also want to show off your desktop I'd really like that. I'm still looking for inspiration on what to make

God over the last year the 15th has became such a clusterfuck, I stopped attending a few months ago, I feel like the unit is getting to big to manage, so many officers are leaving it's ridiculous.

I'd be happy to help you build a wallpaper or something, startdock fences is like 4.99 or something like that, I think I might have another copy ( I don't think my brother used the copy I got him but I'll have to check)

rocket dock isn't that bad, last time i used it was in XP, with Duel monitors i usually just have all my icons on one, and the beautiful wallpaper on the other

I only have firefox, computer, games folder, software folder, trash in that order on the bottom center of the desktop

looks clean and it's better than stardock or whatever because that would require extra startup programs.

What did you do to replace your desktop icons? did you put them in the start menu because I don't know if I can as you can see I have a lot of icons
