Paypal without a card?

I want to get a Paypal account and add a bank card later on. Is this possible?

Yeah, you don't have to add any bank account or debit/credit cards when you make one

Since you're in the UK OP, you need a bank card linked to your paypal, to buy stuff with it.

 

You don't need a bank card to create an account though.

You can send up to $500 before linking anything. You can link a pre-paid gift card you buy at any grocery/pharmacy and your sending limit of $500 is removed.

im not sure for the uk but in the us you need to link a card or bank to verify your paypal, unverified accts cant deposit/withdrawl large sums of money

You can set one up without one, only i believe if your account isn't verified (through adding a bank account or card) only some payments made to your PayPal can have a hold placed on them.
