So, everything was plain sailing until yesterday night, playing some DSII and cod ghosts....turned off my pc and went to turn it on today.

Hard disks spinning, psu running (obviously) but my maximus vi hero showed a '00' code. Ok then, unplug power cable, turn on everything again. Still, code '00'. Was already going to raise hell as I had read that most of these codes end up RMA'd. Searched some forums and from the countless 'tried that but didnt work' i saw someone saying to try and boot up with a single RAM stick if using a dual pack. Wth, just re-seating the RAM is nothing near an RMA. Unplugged a RAM stick and tried to boot. Voila, it booted.

Wat

Tried on the second stick and im writing this on my PC. Wth, gone are the days of beeps to let you know its RAM related.

tl:dr? many thanks to the previous users who had this problem :D

Had the same problem with my ASRock Z87M-Extreme4 a few months ago. re-seated the RAM and haven't had an issue since.

I still don't quite get the point of your post, though..

just a heads up to anyone who can have the same problem, cause as I said most of the threads I read stated to RMA asap without trying anything. Just reseating the RAM can spare you a lot of trouble!
