Monitor help!

Premonition

I'm looking into buying a new monitor, but I'm finding it difficult to find a monitor with some kind of flaw.

My main considerations are:

Dell U2414H
http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-U2414H-23-8-Monitor/dp/B00GTV05XG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410798272&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+2414h

BenQ EW2440L

http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-EW2440L-24-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00GWFNMGG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410798355&sr=8-1&keywords=ew2440l

Asus VN247h-P

http://www.amazon.com/VN247H-P-23-6-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00AVYNS7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410798373&sr=8-1&keywords=vn247h-p

As you might be able to tell, thin bezels (as thin as possible, really) are an important factor. If you know of another monitor with superthin bezels, feel free to mention them in the comments. I also want to point out that prices between the monitors are also pretty varied, but it doesn't really matter to me - the max is 300, and I'm willing to spend up to 300 on better quality.

Having said that, I want a monitor that will be suitable for gaming, while having good color reproduction as I'm an artist, and I like my screens to look bright, vivid, and accurate. Good contrast is also an important factor - I want to avoid washed out blacks... If I can. I currently have an IPS Asus monitor which suffers from backlight bleed and terrible black levels which is why I'm hesitant to just buy the Dell monitor. That and the 8ms gtg are my main concerns for the Dell.

The BenQ seems to be a good middle ground between the two, being VA, but I'm unsure about the color quality and the viewing angles for that monitor. Low blue light and zero flicker would be nice to have though. That fat bottom lip is also bothering me a bit.

The Asus has been on my eye for a while now, but since my budget has increased I can afford to look elsewhere - the problem with the Asus is that it's a TN panel, which means bad viewing angles and probably bad colors...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Been looking around online for a long time and I can't quite seem to find anything that hits all the right notes. There always seems to be SOMETHING wrong with one of the monitors, no matter how great everything else seems.

There's an ips asus panel...vs238p I believe. I have the dell p2414h (identical to the u2414h just not factory calibrated) and I have no problems gaming on it with the 8ms response time (battlefield, csgo, dots 2).

I'm running the Asus VN248hp, seems pretty similar to the VS but with thinner bezels. Does your monitor have any backlight bleed or IPS glow?

if it does it doesn't matter me --I.e. I haven't noticed.

I can check when I get home later today.

and alos, the monitors i gave you on lg is CHEAP!!!!, since i can find the same monitor for way lower in local hardware places, or online, their website is not the best place to get the prices, but you probably can get it for like 220? i guess?

I also haven't noticed any issues with the response time, but then again I probably haven't used anything faster...I had ordered a 144hz panel and it should also be coming today...so I'll be able to give a better answer in a few hours.

/can't edit posts on tappatalk, so double post.

I've considered it! 27 inch monitor would be nice when I've graduated college as I have a rather large desk for my setup back at home, but in my apartment I have to work on a tiny little desk which barely fits my current monitors (one 24 inch, one 19 inch). 1080p at 27 inches also seems to blow out the pixel density too, which I'm not too fond of.

Oh nice! I kinda didn't consider the samsung because of the reviews I saw on amazon, but I'm looking into it now. So far, seems to be shaping up to be pretty nice!
