Archangel I mean the 400 dollar price difference between the 770 and 780

@Ezi you have to tag someone with "@" or quote them so they see your reply.

Also I don't know what country you are in but $400 for a 780 over a 770 is absolutely horrible. Can you find the prices of the R9 290, R9 280x, and the R9 290 in your region for us?

If you don't feel like doing that the GTX 770 and the R9 280x are the same in terms of performance so if the AMD is cheaper buy it. However if the R9 290 is only slightly more than the other two buy it.

Sounds like Australia with inflation like that :(

Honestly, if you want to save money, go with a 550ti. It's not ideal, but I've had my computer for almost 2 years now and I can still play most of today's games on high to ultra settings at around 40 FPS. But, between the 770 and the 780, go with the 770. That is plenty powerful for most of the games being released today. 780 is for people who have money, but not enough for a titan haha. 780 is a great card, one of the best, but for a first build i don't recommend it. It's just too pricey and the 770 can do almost everything the 780 can at a fraction of the cost.

Exactly what I did :D

Yeah, AMD GPUs compared to Nvidia GPUs are a slight bit less powerful but WAY more price efficient. My 290 can run most games at 60FPS max settings constantly on 1080p. If you have enough money for a 770, you should probably save a bit more to get the 290.
